Greek mythology in everyday life - Small delay in update

About two weeks ago I started collecting information concerning the use of mythology in everyday life, just to realize that it is actually much more difficult task than I expected. It's actually a very broad topic that requires a whole lot of research, from a wide range of sources.

To keep it short, I think it will still take a while to finish this section. Hopefully it will be around November.

Meanwhile, I keep updating my website with various myths about the Greek deities, a task that is less time-consuming, since most myths I know of since my childhood. Every day I am adding at least one new myth, focusing on the Olympian gods. So stay tuned.

Thanks for your understanding :)

Thanks for your comment! But as I state on my website ( www.greek-gods.info/greek-gods/)):
"Greek myths always refer to the twelve Gods of Mount Olympus, but in total there were fourteen Olympian Gods in Greek Mythology. However, there were never more than twelve at one time. The four alternative gods were Hestia, Hades, Dionysus and Demeter."

For instance, if you read the Homeric Hymn to Hermes, Hades was not among the Olympian gods- but if you read the writings of Plato you will find he has another opinion!

Also have a look at the following entry of Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twelve_Olympians, it is quite interesting...yet confusing!
